MORE than 100 new Year 7 pupils were officially welcomed to Warrington’s Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School at an Inauguration Service at St Elphin’s Parish Church
Some 300 family members and friends also attended the service.
The address was given by the Archdeacon of Chester, The Venerable Dr Michael Gilbertson, who talked about a “New Start” and all the wonderful opportunities which are in store for our new students.
Head boy Henry Hughes, and Head girl Chloe Snider, inspired all the youngsters with speeches about the school and how they felt when they were in Year 7.
Children were formally “handed over” by their primary headteachers who spoke warmly about each individual pupil.
