Teenager attacked

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in the Padgate area of Warrington.
The incident took place in Insall Road at its junction with Valiant Close, Padgate on December 16 at 10.30pm
The victim ? a 16-year-old boy – and his friend were walking home when they were approached by two men from behind.
One of the men struck the victim to the left side of his face knocking him unconscious to the floor. The offenders then fled the scene on foot.
The victim sustained a broken jaw as a result of the incident. He attended hospital to be treated for his injuries and was later discharged pending further treatment.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, to call 101 quoting incident number 551 of 20 December.
