Club to stage Lancashire night

LYMM Oughtrington Park Cricket Club will be staging a special “Lancashire Night” at the club on Friday, February 10 – when fans will be able to have their picture taken with the County Championship Trophy.
Guest speakers will be Lancashire’s director of cricket and former Test player Mike Watkinson and Sky Sports commentator John Gwynne.
The evening will cost £15, including a hot supper and a drink from the bar and there will be a question and answer session and a raffle and auction with a chance to win good prizes.
Photographs taken with the Championship Trophy – which Lancashire won outright for the first time since 1934 on a nail-biting last day of the season – will be available on the night, signed by Mike Watkinson.
The evening starts at 7pm in the pavilion at the club’s Oughtrington Lane ground.
Later in the year, the club is planning a celebrity Twenty20 cricket match on June 3 when a Lymm side will take on a celebrity XI packed with showbiz personalities.
More details will be made available later.
Tickets for the Lancashire Night are now available by visiting the club website, www.lymmopcc.hitscricket.com
