Police probe suspicious fire

POLICE have appealed for help from the public following a suspicious fire at a house in Warrington earlier this week.
The blaze was in Foxfield Close, Orford and was first reported by Warrington-Worldwide on Wednesday.
At 6.49pm on Tuesday, police and fire crews were called to a report of a fire at the house.
A gas metre box on the side of the house was on fire. Firefighters soon extinguished the blaze and no-one was injured.
A joint investigation into the cause of the fire was launched and is still ongoing.
Police say it is not thought there is any link between the fire and another, more serious fire the same day in Algernon Street, Warrington.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call police on 0845 458 0000. Information an also be left anonymously, on the Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
