Remembrance Day service

THE Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington will attend the annual Remembrance Day service and parade at the War Memorial, Bridge Foot, on Sunday.
Cllr and Mrs Mike Biggin will be at the service at 11am to remember those who have been injured or lost their lives fighting for their country.
The Mayor will lay the first wreath of poppies, after which there will be a short service led by Canon Michael Finlay, Rector of Warrington. A bugler from the Salvation Army Band will play the “Last Post” and “Reveille”.
The parade will arrive at the Cenotaph at 10.30 am and members of the public are advised to assemble at the War Memorial no later than 10.45 am.
Lane closures will be in place throughout the event around the Bridge Foot area which will result in some traffic congestion.
