HUNDREDS of skaters attended the official opening of a new skate park at Orford Park, Warrington.
Activities during the day included skateboard demonstrations, scooter, roller blade and BMX competitions. There was also music and freestyle football.
It was opened by Cllrs Mike Hannon, Kate Hannon and Kelly Simcock.
Cllr Mike Hannon, deputy leader of the council, said: “This is the first of many high quality facilities that will be opening at Orford Park that will make a real difference to the local community.”
Cllr Kate Hannon, executive board member for leisure, community and culture, said: “This skate park is great news for the young people of Warrington and those skateboarding enthusiasts further afield who we know are travelling here to make use of it.”
