BIG Ben will echo through Warrington next week to mark the start of the two-minute Armistice Day silence.
On November 11 at 11am the chimes will signal the start of the short ceremony that remembers those who have been injured or lost their lives fighting for their country.
The Mayor, Cllr Mike Biggin will join town centre clergy, community leaders and the British Legion at 10:45am at the Old Marketplace in Golden Square for the service that will be hosted by the Rev Stephen Kingsnorth.
Marketing manager of Golden Square, Ian Cox said: “We are proud to show our support and remember those who have gone to war on our behalf. I hope that as many people from around the town as possible will join us”.
