WARRINGTON author Pete Worrall is about to release his second novel, “The Doom of the Hollow” – and it looks set to be a real chiller.
It has been three years in the making and is a sequel to his first book, “They Grow Upon the Eyes and expands on the strange, unnatural mysteries of the first.
Robert Bell’s daughter has a new imaginary friend, but the deep monotone voice coming from the darkest corner of her father’s garage suggests that he might not be so imaginary.
Sheila Doors has been murdered. During the autopsy Tabatha Gray finds DNA of a man who died 65 years ago in the wounds on her neck.
Robert and Tabatha’s search for the truth leads them to the Earth’s darkest secret and mankind’s bleakest hour.
Pete – who when he’s not penning mystery novels takes on the more down-to-earth task of playing for Appleton Cricket Club – said: “What started as an idea whilst walking my dogs across the Woolston Eyes has grown into a story spanning two books.”
“The Doom of the Hollow” will be launched at the De Vere Daresbury Hotel, Kingsley Suite, Daresbury on Friday, November 18 at 7.30pm
Pete explained: “It is a big thank you to all the readers who have supported the first book and have been nagging me to write the follow on.
“Everyone is welcome to come along on the 18th and find out what it’s all about.”
“They Grow Upon The Eyes” is available from Amazon Kindle and www.lulu.com
Pete is now working on his next project, “The Mechanical Systole Hypothesis.”
