Hunt for hit and run driver

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a hit and run collision in Warrington involving a woman pedestrian and a car.
The incident took place on October 4 at around 7.37pm on the A57 Manchester Road near to its junction with Warburton Bridge Road in Rixton.
A blue car collided with a 46-year-old woman, who was crossing the carriageway.
The woman suffered a minor injury to her leg as a result of the collision. She was taken to Warrington Hospital where she was treated for her injury.
The car failed to stop at the scene and police are appealing for the driver of the vehicle to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
Officers are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the car or the driver, which might assist with their enquiries, to get in touch.
It is believed that the vehicle sustained damage during the collision ? to the left wing mirror and the bodywork.
