Festival goes out with a bang!

WARRINGTON’S first contemporary arts festival will close with a bang at the end of this month with a performance from acclaimed music group Urban Strawberry Lunch.
The festival has been an outstanding success, with a wide range of exciting activities held across the town and enjoyed by hundreds of local residents.
Arts venues, organisations and artists have come together to celebrate the wealth of creativity and entertainment Warrington has to offer.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the borough council’s executive member for leisure, community and culture, said: “Warrington’s first contemporary arts festival has been a fantastic success and the activities on offer have been enjoyed by hundreds of residents from across the town. I have no doubt this festival will go from strength to strength in years to come.”
The final week of the festival includes plenty of family friendly activities including: Tomorrow (Saturday) The Big Draw 11am-3pm at Pyramid; Monday to Friday: Family Friendly Workshop Week at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery and Pyramid. Sessions run from 10am -3pm each day.
Friday October 28, 7.30pm at Pyramid Local dancer Kate Jackson premieres her new theatrical dance performance, a result of working with two of Britain’s leading physical theatre creators and performers TC Howard and Frauke Requardt.
Saturday October 29: Closing Event 10.30am-4pm at Pyramid – free of charge
Urban Strawberry Lunch.
