Advice for parents

ADVICE on school choices, child care and road safety will be offered to parents in Warrington.
To mark Parents Week a special event is being held in Warrington Market from 10am to 4pm on Saturday October 22.
Run by Warrington Borough Council’s Families Information Service, a variety of stalls and activities will be on offer on the day.
Information on local services will be available and parents will be asked what changes families want to see and how organisations can be made family-friendly.
For the youngsters there will be arts and crafts, face painting, play dough, stories, puppets, a lucky dip and an opportunity to get active.
Cllr Colin Froggatt, executive board member for children and young people’s services, said: “This interesting event will provide a wealth of information and advice for local families. I would like to encourage parents to pop down with their children to enjoy the activities on offer and tell us what family friendly means to them.”
