Jo's three peaks mercy climb

A WARRINGTON woman is climbing the Three Peaks of Yorkshire this weekend to raise funds towards specialist treatment for a friend’s daughter.
Jo Wright, of Lymm, aims to complete the 24.5 mile walk (with a climb of 5,000 feet) and is hoping local people will sponsor her.
She said: “I am doing it to raise money for Emma Hoolin. She is four years old, with an aggressive form of cancer. She desperately and urgently needs to raise over £210,000 for specialist treatment in the US.”
Emma has neuroblastoma, which was diagnosed in February when consultants detected a lump in her stomach.
Following many tests and treatments, Emma’s family learned of an antibody treatment in American that can stop this type of cancer coming back. The family set about urgent fundraising for the treatment to save their daughter’s life.

Jo, 39, decided to help and has rallied family and friends to sponsor her.
“It is the first time I have ever done this sort of challenge, but I really wanted to help Emma,” she said.
Jo regularly goes to the gym and enjoys walking in the Lake District. She has also completed half marathon and a 10k run.
