DANCERS with paint on their hands and feet will create artworks on the floor at a free drop-in event at Warrington.
The event at the Pyramid Arts Centre on October 22 is part of The Big Draw – a national campaign for drawing running throughout the month – and the Warrington Contemporary Arts Festival.
Warrington Museum and Art Gallery has teamed up with the Wolves Foundation to organise the day.
The Wolves Foundation are looking for community dance groups to perform a dance piece in a timetabled slot for 30 minutes on the day and are calling on any groups interested to get in touch.
The event will see the floor covered with large sheets of paper and the dancers will have paint on their hands and feet so they can make art while they move.
After each performance dancers will be asked to encourage the public to come and join in.
Cllr Kate Hannon, the borough council’s executive member for leisure, community and culture, said: “I’m delighted we are supporting the national campaign for drawing and this is going to be a unique and exciting event for people to come and enjoy. I’d encourage any dance groups interested in taking part to get involved by contacting the Wolves Foundation.”
