WARRINGTON-based Croft Engineering Services recorded its best ever figures in its 25-year history last month, with sales 75 per cent higher than an average month.
The company believes a record sales month in August is an early sign of an improvement in the economy.
Contracts were secured across a diverse range of sectors including food, chemical, power generation, oil and gas, construction, aerospace, rail, engineering, environmental and Formula One.
Of the increased sales, 75 per cent have come from UK-based companies.
Company director Neil Burns said:
“Our reputation as one of the most reliable and efficient manufacturers of quality filter products is growing throughout a wider and more diverse range of companies.
“That so much of our increased business has come from within the UK is very encouraging. Companies are investing in UK manufacturers.”
Croft celebrated its 25th anniversary this year, and believes it is its commitment to its employees and providing quality service and products that has seen it thrive through the ups and downs in the sector over the years.
Mr Burns added: “Our increase in sales does indicate that recovery is on its way.
“Our success comes down to the hard work of our employees. Average length of service with us is 10 years and we have recently taken on two new apprentices. We have a fantastic team and we are looking forward to a positive future.”
