Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 1,2,6 and 13 – but the jackpot prize went unclaimed and will be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize went to a member of hospital staff.

Day nursery
PLANS have been approved for the conversion of offices in Yew Tree Court, Warrington Road, Risley, into a children’s day nursery.

Runners wanted
THE Deafness Support Network, in Wilson Patten Street, Warrington, is seeking volunteer runners to run the Silverstone Half Marathon in March next year to raise money for the charity which provides services for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. Extension approved
PLANNING chiefs have given permission for the removal of a two storey extension on a listed building in Weaste Lane, Thelwall to make way for a new part single, part two storey extension.

Bowls tournament
THE Mavis Horton Memorial Bowls Competition takes place today at Monks Sports and Social Club, Hillock Lane, Woolston, to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice. There will also be stalls and a raffle.

Wildlife garden
PUPILS at Burtonwood Primary School have won a grant from the Big Lottery Awards for All fund to improve their community wildlife garden and outdoor “classroom” and make it wheelchair accessible.
