Staff show support for Kidney Research

STAFF at a Warrington company are celebrating their 20th anniversary by spending 12 months raising funds for charity, starting with a sponsored bike ride.
Workers from Risley-based Capley Marker Systems Limited, factory automation experts, are supporting Kidney Research UK as one of the directors suffers from the condition.
The first event is a 40 mile bike ride from Southport to Warrington (the first part of the Trans Pennine Trail) tomorrow, Saturday, September 17.
The 10 staff, together with friends and relatives, are training hard and aim to complete the event in around four hours.
A company spokesperson said: “The reason for choosing this particular charity is that one of the directors of the company suffers from polycystic kidney disease and is currently waiting to start kidney dialysis treatment.
“Sadly the disease is hereditary and it is only by funding research that answers can be found and problems solved.”
