PRESENTERS at Warrington Hospital’s Radio General decided to celebrate 10 years of broadcasting from the Keith Inman Studios by presenting three full days of live programmes last weekend.
Additional Request programmes were broadcast regularly during the weekend and patients were able to ring in from their bedside phones for their favourite music.
Last Saturday they broadcast live from the Grappenhall Community Centre’s Fun Day interviewing stall holders and the Mayor of Warrington, Cllr. Mike Biggin.
On Sunday a full match commentary of Warrington Wolves crucial match against Wigan Warriors followed by the Widnes Vikings match against Featherstone Rovers were broadcast to the patients.
Meanwhile the Studios will be open to the public as part of the Hospital’s Open Day on September 17.
