Car set on fire

POLICE are investigating after a car was deliberately set on fire on Longbarn Lane, Woolston, Warrington.
Fire fighters were called to a report of a car well alight on Longbarn Lane, Woolston on Tuesday night.
Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire which it is believed was started deliberately.
Meanwhile fire fighters were also called to a microwave on fire in a ground floor flat on Heather Close in Birchwood.
When they arrived two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entred the property to deal with the fire. They found that it had already gone out.
The flat was however was filled with smoke which was cleared with a specialist fan.
