Teenager slashed in face at Creamfields

POLICE are hunting for an attacker who slashed a 19-year-old man across the face with a bladed weapon in a crowded music tent at the Creamfields music event at Daresbury near Warrington over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault which happened in the Swedish House Mafia tent at around 5.30pm on Sunday August 28.
The victim, who is from Liverpool, was stood in the tent speaking to a friend when someone reached over the crowd and slashed his face with a bladed weapon.
The man went to hospital where he required stiches to the wound.
Detective Constable Neal Davison said: “There would have been a lot of people around at the time of this assault and I am keen to speak to anyone that may have seen anything relevant to this attack. Most people would have been in high spirits and enjoying the atmosphere of Creamfields, but if you saw anything please call police as it is important we catch the unfortunate minority that choose to ruin the experience for others.”
