Greenhouse must be removed

1

A HOUSEHOLDER at Warrington, who erected a greenhouse without getting planning consent has been told he must remove it.
The greenhouse is at a house in Snowberry Crescent, on the Saxon Park estate at Sankey Bridges.
Warrington Borough Council refused a retrospective planning application and now an independent inspector has thrown out an appeal by the householder.
The inspector has ruled that the greenhouse projects out from the building line in a conspicuous position and detracts from the open character of the estate and the unimpeded view along Snowberry Crescent in both directions.

  1. Have the planning regulations not been changed to encourage the green brigade? or are we still in the dark ages. Amazing decision when they can put wind farms up anywhere.
