POLICE are hunting two men following a sex attack on a young woman at Culcheth.
They have released CCTV pictures of the pair, who they wish to question in connection with the incident.
Victim of the attack was a woman in her 20s from Warrington and it took place in the early hours of Friday, August 12, in an alleyway near Lodge Drive, Culcheth.
One of the men is described as being in his mid-20s, around 5ft 6 inches to 5ft 8 inches, of medium build with a blond shaved head.
He was wearing a checked shirt or jacket over a white t-shirt with dark jeans and white trainers. The man, who may be called Mike or Chris, spoke with a strong Leigh accent.
The second man is described as white, believed to be in his 20s, of similar height and build and with short ginger hair and a pale complexion.
He was wearing a white t-shirt with an emblem on the front, dark coloured jeans and red pumps.
This man may have had a number of tattoos – with one in particular on his right arm, which was a large tattoo depicting a woman. He also spoke with a Leigh accent and is believed to be called Josh.
Detective Inspector Simon Blackwell said: “We are currently following up a number of lines of enquiry and are keen to speak to anyone that may recognise the two men in the CCTV stills.”
Police are appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the incident to contact Cheshire Police on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be left anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
