Play scheme's birthday celebration

A VERY special summer play scheme based at Fox Wood School in Birchwood, Warrington, is celebrating 10 years of operation.
The scheme started in 2001 as a pilot to meet the needs of children with complex medical requirements. Up until that date there were few opportunities to access specialist summer activities in the town.
Today a dedicated and experienced team of staff from Warrington Borough Council and the NHS Warrington continue to work hard to provide a relaxed and caring atmosphere with a high level of nursing and personal care for the youngsters.

A celebration event to mark the scheme’s successes over the years will be held at the school on Chatfield Drive on August 23.
