Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 2, 12, 13 and 15 – but no-one claimed the jackpot prize which will now be rolled-over to next week. A £25 consolation prize was won by a member of hospital staff.

Goodbye Sir!
MR Andy Cocker, headteacher at St Paul of the Cross Primary School, Burtonwood, for 26, has retired, aged 60. The school held a farewell party followed by a presentation.

Car parking
PLANS for 19 additional parking/display spaces have been approved at the Halliwell Jones garage in Ireland Street, Warrington.

Summer club
A SUMMER holiday youth club is running at Sir Thomas Boteler CE High School, Latchford, Warrington from 12 noon to 4pm daily until August 26. Cost is £2 a day or £8 a week. Call 079496 12072 to book.

Open day
NEW heritage items will be on show at Penketh High School today (Saturday) and tomorrow when Penketh and Great Sankey Heritage Group holds two open days between 1pm-5pm. Refreshments will be available.

Pub extension
PROPOSED extensions to the ground and first floors at the Old Black Swan public house in Manchester Road, Rixton, have been approved by borough council planners.
