Junior Wire success!

WARRINGTON Town hosted a highly successful Junior Wire event at their Cantilever Park Stadium as the first team prepare to kick start their season.
Organised by the club’s Community Development Officer James Standing, various age groups from the junior teams, joined forces with the Youth team and first team squad for an evening of footballing fun.
Members of the first team squad helped out with some coaching while youngsters enjoyed mini-soccer games and also got a chance to try out the new 3G all weather pitch, which will help provide much needed training facilities during the winter months ahead.
Club Chairman Gary Skentelbery said: “This is the first time we have organised an event involving all age groups at the club and it was a resounding success.
“It was an awesome sight seeing all the kids running around and great for the first team players to get involved in the community.
“It is certainly something we will look to do on a more regular basis as these youngsters and their families will be the lifeblood of the club.”
The club is also in the process of handing out FREE season tickets to its junior sections, which also allow admission for two adults for just £5.
