TWO young men – one from Warrington – and a 16-year-old boy are appearing before magistrates this morning charged in connection with allegations of inciting public disorder through social networking websites.
The two men – a 22-year-old from Warrington and a 24-year-old from Runcorn – are due to appear at Halton Magistrates’ Court.
A 16-year-old boy from Macclesfield will appear before magistrates there.
All have been held in police custody overnight.
The arrests follow a robust approach by Cheshire Police to any individuals suspected of promoting criminality via social networking sites.
As part of the approach a number of young people have received police advice in the presence of their parents around postings on their social networking sites, or messages forwarded onwards via social media.
Once again, there were no incidents of significant disorder in Cheshire overnight.
Police say they are grateful to members of the public for support offered and information provided over the last few days.
