Police appeal after sex attack

POLICE at Warrington today issued an appeal for information following a sex attack on a 27-year-old woman.
The woman was walking along Knutsford Road, near to The Old Quays, when she was approached by a man.
He asked her for the time and then tried to indecently assault her and ran off towards the town centre.
The man was described as white, about 16-years-old of 5ft 2 inches tall, of slim build, mousey brown short hair, which was messy. He had a pale complexion, brown eyes and a small pointy nose. He was wearing light blue stone washed jeans and a dark blue zipped jacket.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident on Friday, July 22, or knows the identity of the offender, to call them on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be passed on anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
