CULCHETH and Glazebury Parish Council is to press for additional traffic calming measures on the A574 Warrington Road as it enters the village centre from the Risley direction.
A number of accidents occurred on the bend near the former New Inn , resulting in vehicles running into roadside railings.
Cllr Keith Bland said: “The borough council is to repair the railings, but we are asking them to also consider additional traffic calming to slow down vehicles as they approach the bend.”
The area affected is between the junction with Lansdowne and the junction with Common Lane..
