A WARRINGTON singer/songwriter has been making a name for himself rocking his way around the Arctic Circle.
After following his girlfriend back to her homeland in Sweden, Dave Grant, met singer/songwriter Johan Piribauer, who was looking for international, up and coming singer songwriters every year for a tour which travels up and down inland Sweden on the Inlandsbanan train reaching as far as the Arctic Circle.
It was a totally new experience for Dave who had six gigs in seven days with local acts and various artists.
He was joined on the tour by his girlfriend Johanna Berglund.
Dave said: “It is an annual event which is generating more and more interest and recognition, and plans are already being made for next year.
“The music styles include Folk, Rock, Hard Rock, Classical, Progressive, Hip Hop and Jazz. My music
is ‘Melodic Folk Pop’. It was a complete success with nearly 500 people coming to listen to the music on display.
“We even got a chance to see the midnight sun in Gallivare, where the sun never sets! It was an unbelievable adventure and I sold CDs every place we went!”
