POLICE have issued a CCTV image of a tattooed man they want to question following a serious assault in Warrington town centre bar.
The incident took place at Level Bar on Rylands Street at around 12.30am onApril 25.
The 23-year-old victim was on a night out with friends who were making their way through the bar, which was busy at the time as it was the Bank Holiday weekend.
As the victim made his way through the bar towards the toilets, he encountered a man who head butted him directly in the face.
The offender fled the scene and the victim was left with a cut on his nose, which was bleeding heavily.
He attended Warrington Hospital where the cut was treated with three stitches – he also sustained two black eyes. As a result of the attack the victim has been left with a permanent scar on his nose.
The offender is described as a white man, in his mid-to-late 20s with short or shaven hair. He is of stocky build, 5’9” tall and has a small distinctive tattoo of a swallow on the left side of his neck and a full sleeve tribal tattoo on his left arm. He was wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
Officers are following up a number of lines of enquiry in relation to the incident. This week police issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Anyone who knows the identity of the man or has any information, which might assist officers with their enquiries, is urged to call Cheshire Police quoting incident 55 of April 25.
