Occupants escape flat fire

THE occupants of a first floor flat at Warrington escaped unhurt when fire broke out in their kitchen.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze at the flat in North View, Great Sankey.
Smoke alarms were fitted and activated to warn the occupants who left the property
Firefighters also used a ventilation unit to clear dense smoke from the flat.
Cause of the blaze was a pan of food left on the cooker.
