Rugby legend joins Lymm

RUGBY legend Steve Rule has been appointed director or rugby at Lymm RFC.
Steve, a long time friend of Lymm RFC, is a former rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1970s and ’80s and rugby union coach, who at representative level has played rugby union (RU) for English Universities Rugby Union and Cheshire Rugby Football Union. He played at club level for Loughborough Students RUFC and Sale, playing at Fly-half.
He has also played rugby league for Wales and at club level for Salford and St. Helens, playing at Fullback.
At representative level he has coached rugby union for Cheshire Rugby Football Union and at club level for Sale, Lymm RFC, New Brighton, and Macclesfield RUFC.
On his appointment, Steve said: “Whether you see yourself as an ‘elite player’ or just want quality competitive social rugby, the aim is to make the rugby experience at Lymm second to none”.
