TASTES from around the world – including Thai, Turkish, Indian and French – help kick start this year’s Lymm Festival.
The popular Street Fun and Food Fest on Thursday June 23 from 6pm will feature a record number of local traders. Warm canapés, fresh cakes and homemade ice-cream will also be on offer.
Other entertainment includes a theatre company, a local version of Gardener’s Question Time and expert gardeners Pete and Ged Moss – with their musical wheelbarrow.
This year’s BIG Picture will be unveiled. Fifty enthusiastic local artists have recreated a painting by John Singer Sargent.
On Sunday June 26 there will be a recital by Rebecca Watson (Soprano) and Christian McKay (piano) at Lymm United Reformed Church, called Music on a Summer’s Afternoon.
Their programme will include works by Schumann, Granados and songs by Mompou. Tickets are £10/£8 /£5 and can be purchased online (plus small booking fee) at www.lymmfestival.org.uk or via the Lymm Festival Box Office.
