POLICE at Warrington are investigating an incident in which an almost brand new car was completely destroyed by fire.
Fire crews were called to Alder Lane, Winwick, shortly after 11.30pm last night when the car – a Chevrolet – was discovered ablaze. It had been reported stolen earlier.
Firefighters tackled the fire using hose reel jets, but the car was completely burned out.
