WARRINGTON’S Golden Square has won special industry recognition at the shopping centre equivalent of the Oscars – the Purple Apple Marketing Awards.
The BCSC (British Consortium of Shopping Centres) awards are the only ones which recognise and reward effective shopping centre marketing in the UK.
The award was for Golden Square’s campaign for its community event in October which was part of the BCSC’s Talent Week called “Get Sorted”.
The event was commended for showcasing new industry standards of innovation, delivery and performance, taking shopping centre marketing to the next level.
It was the second Purple Apple Golden Square has won.
Golden Square marketing manager Ian Cox said: “It is a fabulous win for the centre.
“The event was groundbreaking and designed to encourage young people aged 14-21 to uncover new talents, learn new skills and fulfil their potential in the jobs market.
“We saw more than 2,000 local young people get involved with activities at the centre and I’m delighted that we’ve been recognised with this prestigious award.”
