Police probe bike fire

POLICE are investigating a fire which caused extensive damage to a motorcycle parked in the street at Warrington.
The blaze was on Grasmere Avenue, Orford yesterday and firefighters used a hosereel jet to extinguish it.
The cause is suspicious and attempts are being made to trace the owner.
In a separate incident, fire crews were called to parkland off Capesthorne Road, Orford where a wheelie bin had been dragged into the centre of the park and set alight.
They put the blaze out using a hand extinguisher.
Firefighters are asking the public to report any incidents if they see people starting fires deliberately by calling the confidential Crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
