Charity walkers can be early birds

WOMEN wanting to take part in St Rocco’s Hospice Starlight Walk can take advantage of an “early bird” entry fee.
So far more than 1,000 women have signed up for the 13-mile sponsored midnight walk in Warrington on June 17.
Places are going fast and anyone interested is asked to get their entry form in quickly. Anyone registering before April 28 gets the bargain rate of £12, after which registration is £15.
Hospice matron Beth Eccles said: “It is fantastic that over 1,000 ladies have now pledged their support to St Rocco’s, by registering for Starlight, and we would like you to do the same.
“Now is a great time to register as you can take advantage of the early bird offer and be in with the chance of winning a signed Wolves shirt.”
All the money raised by Starlight will be used to care for patients and their families at St Rocco’s.
The charity says it costs £50,000 a week to provide care to people with life-limiting illnesses, and all of this care is given free of charge.
People wanting to register should visit www.starlightladieswalk.co.uk or pick up a form from The Halliwell Jones Stadium or St Rocco’s Hospice.
