A CHARITY event is being held on Saturday, April 30 at Lymm Youth and Community Centre to raised funds for victims of the Japan earthquake and tsunami disaster
“Japan Day” will raise money for the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal.
There will be calligraphy, a fan dance workshop, Japanese storytelling – in English – a team ceremony, origami, kimono dressing and plenty of food, including a demonstration sushi and yakitori.
Organiser Naomi Green said: “As is evident from news reports, this is still very much an ongoing crisis and the full extent of the human and material loss will not be known for many weeks, months or years.”
