Yes – you CAN post that census form!

1

MANY people have completed their census form early and left it lying around at home waiting for the “snapshot” date of March 27.
But Warrington Borough Council officers say people can post the form now.
The census co-ordinator says that people who are confident about the facts as they will be on March 27 can post forms whenever they like and that the Office for National Statistics welcome early returns.
For those who are finding completing the form difficult help is at hand with a series of advice and activity sessions run by the census team and volunteers.
The team have been in Golden Square offering advice and activities.
They used origami to show how census information is used to help shape services in the community.
Volunteers demonstrated how to make items ranging from a cup to a hopping frog, using paper. Library staff explained how to use past censuses to trace family history.
Similar events will be held today (Thursday) at Lymm Library, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm, and at Warrington Disability Partnership, from 1pm to 5pm.
Tomorrow (Friday) at The Gateway, from 2pm to 5pm, St Hilda’s Mission, from 12 noon to 4pm, Oakwood Neighbourhood Centre, 12 noon to 4pm.
On census day March 27 the team will be at Woolston Hub, 10.30am to 12.30pm and St Benedicts Church, 6pm to 8.30pm.
