Hair and nail marathon for charity

A HAIR salon is to stage a “hair and nail marathon” to raise money for a children’s cancer charity.
The Hair Studio, at The Cross, Lymm will open specially on Monday, March 28 for a 12-hour marathon session of giving blow dries and a nail file and polish in aid of CLIC Sargent – a charity formed in 2005 after a merger between Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood and Sargent Cancer Care for Children – a charity founded in 1968 in memory of the conductor Sir Malcolm Sargent.
Hair Studio proprietor Linda Rutter said: “Monday is normally our closing day, but on March 28 we will be working from 10am to 10pm giving the hair and nail treatments for £5 each or £10 for the two.
“All the money will go to the charity. The staff are all giving their time free of charge.
“We decided to do this as a means of thanking the charity for help they gave to a child who is a member of one of the staff’s family.
“It will be a long day for us – but we think it will be well worth it.”
Anyone wanting to book either the hair or nail treatment should call 01925 756659.
