POLICE have released e-fit pictures of two men they want to speak to in connection with a robbery in Warrington.
A young man was robbed as he walked home in the town in the early hours of Wednesday March 2.
The 21-year-old and a friend were approached by two men near to the Cockhedge Roundabout.
After a brief discussion the victim walked off but was followed by the offenders along Willis Street, Oakwood Avenue and later onto Orford Road where he was threatened and his mobile phone stolen. The offenders have then made off into Steel Street.
The first offender was aged around 20, about 5ft 8 inches tall and of slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top and matching jogging bottoms and had letters on the knuckles of his right hand.
The second offender was around 20-years-old, of skinny build and was shorter than the first offender. He was wearing a black fleecy hat with flaps on either side and a black coat made out of shiny material.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may be able to offer information on the identity of the offenders.
Officers are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery or may have seen two men acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident.
Anyone who can help is urged to call DC Neil Radley, of Warrington CID, on 0845 458 0000. Information can also be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
