Man attacked and robbed

A MAN was attacked and robbed as he walked home at Warrington.
The 21-year-old was making his way along Manchester Road, at around 2.30am on Saturday (March 5) when he was approached by three men at the junction with Dalton Bank.
One of the men started talking to him and seemed friendly and they walked along Dalton Bank and Willis Street.
As they got half way along Willis Street near to Ardens Bakery one of the other men in the group barged into the victim. As he raised his arm to protect himself the offender hit him, causing a wound to his arm.
The first offender stole the victim’s mobile phone, a silver Blackberry, and ran off towards Dalton Brook.
The offender who snatched the victim’s phone was about 23, 5ft 7in tall, of slim build. He was clean shaven and had a clear complexion with light brown shaven hair. He was wearing a white shell suit type tracksuit top which had blue stripes on the arms and a hood. He had an Eastern European accent but spoke good English.
