Family tribute to murder victim

POLICE have revealed the identity of the man found dead at a house in Warrington at the weekend.
He was John Wright, aged 45 and his body was found at a house in Slater Street, Latchford on Friday evening.
Stephen Whittle, 30, of Warrington, was arrested at the scene and earlier today appeared before magistrates charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody to appeal at Chester Crown Court on April 14.
Mr Wright (pictured) leaves a mother, father, brother and sister, as well as three children, aged 17, 16 and two. He was brought up in the Stockton Heath area of Warrington.
In a statement issued today, his family said: “John had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was very popular and loved by all and will be sadly missed.”
A post mortem examination concluded John died as a result of blunt force trauma.
