Searching for Miss Cheshire

THE search for this year’s Miss Cheshire is gathering pace with girls aged 17-24 being encouraged to combine their glamour and style with a strong sense of community.
Talent scouts will be out and about at Golden Square Shopping Centre in Warrington on Saturday (February 19) and will be encouraging local girls to enter the coveted competition.
The shopping centre is sponsoring this year’s competition which will see finalists from across the county take part in a full catwalk show and glamorous awards ceremony in May at Warrington’s Parr Hall.
Golden Square marketing manager Ian Cox said: “The competition is such a fantastic opportunity for local girls regardless of their background or previous modelling experience. We are delighted to sponsor Miss Cheshire and hopefully help to crown a local girl as Miss Cheshire for 2011.”
The winner will, among other prizes, win £250 cash, shopping vouchers from Golden Square and a place in the Miss England Final where she will have a chance to go onto Miss World, where the main prize is $100,000.
Contestants for Miss Cheshire have until February 28 to enter via the Miss Cheshire website on www.missenglandcheshire.co.uk.
