A 25-year-old man suffered a broken eye socket after being assaulted in a Warrington bar.
Three men were subsequently arrested – but police are still seeking witnesses of the incident at McCauleys, on Bridge Street.
The attack took place between 1.20am and 2.15am on Sunday, February 6.
Sergeant Richard Wagner said: “There would have been a lot of people inside the bar when this assault happened and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything. The victim has suffered a nasty injury to his eye that will require surgery and whoever did this needs to be caught.”
Three men, aged 22, 21, and 20, were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0845 450 0000 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
