DESPITE torrential rain and high winds at the weekend, Warrington escaped the serious flooding that affected many other parts of the North West.
But the River Bollin burst its banks at Lymm – with water pouring into fields at Heatley and floodwater encroaching into areas close to the Heatley Mere housing estate.
