Help for those under stress

0

PEOPLE in Warrington who suffer from anxiety, depression, stress or low moods have a new source of help at hand.
They can either self refer or ask their GP to refer them to a free Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CCBT) service.
Warrington Primary Care Trust has funded charity group Making Space to deliver CCBT to anyone who could benefit from the therapy.
The free interactive self-help computer programme is also available to those who lack motivation, suffer from panic, nervousness or phobias. It is supported by skilled facilitators, who work with people towards relieving their symptoms.
The programme includes an introduction and between six and nine one-hour sessions per week. There are activities that people can work on at home, fact sheets and a personalised progress report.
Applicants can email [email protected] or further information is available from CCBT service manager Lisa Taaffe on 01925 581755 or 07894 594275 or via the website www.makingspace.co.uk
