College courses go on show

NEW courses available to Warrington students across a wide range of vocations, apprenticeships, higher education and professions will go on show when a college throws open its doors for an open evening.
The event if at Warrington Collegiate, in Winwick Road, on Thursday, January 27 between 5-8pm.
It will give visitors an opportunity to discover more about the huge range of vocational courses on offer – including new courses introduced this year to meet local demand.
College staff will be on hand to answer questions on anything from the admissions process and course content to the huge range of social activities on offer to students.
Anyone thinking of starting a course will be able to find out everything they need to know before they enrol on a course. Details are available on 01925 494 494.
The new courses cover all levels of learning and include additions such as Retail, Creative Media Production: Gaming, Photography: Crime Scene Investigation, Graphic Design, Applied Sciences plus many more.
Last year very successful for the college as it scored an overall Grade 2 in its Ofsted inspection. Particularly praised by the inspectors were the transportation and operations and arts, media and publishing departments, both of which secured a maximum Grade 1 rating.
