A MAN has died in a house fire at Warrington.
The mystery blaze caused extensive damage at the property in Sycamore Lane, Great Sankey.
Fire crews extinguished the fire at around 4.30pm yesterday and found the man’s body inside the house.
Police said today the body has not yet been formally identified, although next of kin have been informed. They were not in a position to confirm any personal details.
A post mortem examination will take place, probably later today, to determine the cause of death.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and joint enquiries between police and the fire service are continuing.
