Takeaways approved
TWO adjoining shops in Orford Lane, Warrington can be converted into hot food takeaways, planning chiefs have decided. New shop fronts will be installed, together with external staircases and extraction flues at the rear.
Panto time
THE Playmakers drama group are staging the pantomime “Dick Whittington” at Cinnamon Brow Community Centre, Warrington from next Thursday (January 20) to Saturday (January 22). Evening performances are at 7.30pm and there are matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm.
Extensions refused
PLANS for two-storey side and rear extensions at a house in Chapel Lane, Appleton, with a rear conservatory and lean-to garage, have been refused by Warrington planners.
Hospital lottery
WINNING numbers in the weekly lottery run by the League of Friends of Warrington Hospital were 8, 10, 11 and 12. There were no winners so the jackpot prize has been rolled over to next week. A member of hospital staff won a £25 consolation prize.
School extension
PLANNING chiefs have given the go-ahead for single-storey extensions to the admininstration block and nursery at Oakwood Avenue Primary School, Warrington.
