Swap that old way of life!

A WARRINGTON hotel is urging local people to make a positive start to the New Year by swapping their daily routine for something more active.
It’s all part of the Great Swapathon – a new campaign from Change4Life, the nationwide movement to help everyone eat well, move more, drink less and live longer.
The aim is to achieving one million healthy swaps this month – things as simple swapping an evening watching television for a swim at the local pool, swapping white bread for wholemeal bread, swapping four wheels for two feet or swapping sugary fizzy drinks for water, milk or pure fruit juice.
To help kick-start swapping locally, the leisure club at Stretton’s Park Royal Hotel is offering non-members the chance to try out a gym taster package at a heavily discounted rate, plus half price family and individual swim sessions.
Joe Cravagan, regional leisure manager at The Park Royal Hotel said: “We’re delighted to be able to offer the people of Warrington something to help increase their activity levels. Often New Year resolutions are short lived but the Great Swapathon is all about achievable, simple steps to long term better health.”
